Yesterday, Beyoncé released a video of her recent humanitarian trip to Haiti.    

                  

Beyoncé, visited the coutry for a few hours, accompanied by Valerie Amos, the Emergency Relief Coordinator, UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA).  

 The singer visited multiple local programs to see the progress made since the 2010 earthquake, and meet some of the people who have been affected. 




The BeyGood T-shirt Beyoncé was wearing on the trip is now available for sale online with all proceeds from sales of this shirt directly aiding St. Damien in re-opening an abandoned wing and continuing to aid the people of Haiti. http://www.beyonce.com/beygood/

Karen Walker has partnered with the United Nations' ITC Ethical Fashion Initiative on her new Spring 2014 eye wear collection, called Visible.  


Walker is using her collection to highlight and celebrate Kenyan artisans who created a series of screen printed pouches that will accompany any purchase.   


The Ethical Fashion Initiative promotes fair and sustainable business rather than a reliance on aid in disadvantaged African and Haitian communities (their motto is "not charity, just work"), bringing together craftspeople and international brands to produce products.  


Walker not only used the work of the artisans behind the scenes, but also used them as stars in her new campaign. 
The collection, which will include; over-sized black frames with color tinted translucent lenses and gold trims, gold glitter and filigree styles, and reflective gold lenses, and the pouches will be available in store from February 3rd.
