Past President of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated Dr. Yvonne Kennedy dies

 Dr. Yvonne Kennedy 19th National President of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated died this morning at UAB Hospital in Birmingham.  

Dr. Kennedy was being treated for complications from heart surgery performed 2 years ago. She died this morning  surrounded by family.  



State Rep.  Dr. Kennedy was elected to the Alabama House as Represenative of District 97 in 1979.  She is also a former president of Bishop State Community College.

Our prayers go out to her family and friends.
