My Haiti stay-cation...down South

Some pics on my trip to the Sud Department of Ayiti. A welcome repose from the hustle and bustle that is Port-Au-Prince.  Peace and tranquility in a southern oasis.  A beautiful coastline, with many undiscovered gems.

"Port-Salut The area has yet to be discovered on a mainstream tourist level." ( hope it stays just like that ;) ) .

Villa Taino is the temporary home of Hotel Taino, which was several damaged during the 2010 earthquake and is currently under construction.  Co-owners Christian and Solange are amazing at making each person feel at home and part of the family.  It's a long rough road leading to Taino, but once you arrive it is definitely worth the trip.  Don't forget to pack your swim suit!
